Digital Enterprise Lazio
About this good practice
The aim of the call was to strengthen the competitiveness of the regional production system by promoting the adoption of digitalisation of business processes and technological modernization through the use of ICT services and solutions in line with the European Digital Agenda, with the National Strategy for Digital Growth, with the Lazio Digital Agenda and with the priorities of the Smart Specialization Strategy (S3).
20% of the planned budget was allocated to companies with operational headquarters in one of the Municipalities falling within the Crisis Complex Areas of the Lazio Region.
The projects could present a total amount of not less than € 7,000 and not more than € 25,000. The aid was disbursed in the form of a non-repayable grant of 70% of the total amount of the project.
The eligible activities envisaged the adoption of one or more of the following technological solutions and / or digital systems: Digital marketing, E-commerce, Digital point of sale, Booking and payment, 3D printing, Internet of things, Digital logistics, Digital administration, Digital security, Integrated systems.ì
Resources needed
The Lazio region has allocated 5 million euros (FSC 2014-2020 - Pact for the Lazio Region) to support the adoption of a personalized analysis of the digital needs of SMEs.
Evidence of success
The "Digital Enterprise Lazio" call was endowed with 5 mln € of EU funds and provided for two reserves: the first, 1.5 million, intended for SMEs operating in the commerce sector; the second, equal to 20% of the endowment of the call for proposals, concerns SMEs having their operational headquarters in one of the Municipalities falling within the Complex Crisis Areas of the Lazio Region.
The call financed 110 SMEs projects for investments starting from 7,000€ and not exceeding 25,000€.
Potential for learning or transfer
The experience is to be considered particularly useful for promoting digital innovation of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in Lazio, favouring the achievement of accurate needs analysis and supporting investments.
Particularly importance was the 20% of budget reserved to companies with operational headquarters in one of the municipalities in the crisis areas of the Lazio region, including rural areas.
