FuturEnSAP project
About this good practice
In the context of the uberisation of health, many things in the home health sector will evolve. Eurasanté has launched "FuturEnSAP" project in order to anticipe these changes.
3 actions have been put in place:
1. The creation of 3 new trainings, enabling employees in the home services sector to upgrade their skills. These 3 trainings are:
- Coordinator of services : to assess the needs and expectations of seniors
- Assistant in e-health : to receive and analyze the data collected from the home
- Home evaluator : to propose adapted equipment and recommendations for home
2. The establishment of a new certification "Attestation d’Aptitude à la Santé à Domicile" (on home health). It is a short training, with a global approach and bringing skills for the intervention with elderly people.
This certification is similar to a vocational school course : participants have exams to validate the certification.
3. The creation of a guide to evolve the home of the elderly.
There is not home equipment list and elderly people don’t know what they should buy. This deliverable would improve their quality of life, but also facilitate access to the market for companies developing innovative solutions for elderly at home.
The 3 new training courses and the 2ASD certification were created with partners Santélys and Stratélys. Regarding the guide, Eurasanté organized several workshops with companies
Resources needed
The amount of financial resources was 140,000 euros (70,000 euros in public funding - 46,000 euros in funding from CARSAT (pension and occupational health insurance fund) - 24,000 euros of self-financing) for the staff (1 project manager), operating expenses and training expenses.
Evidence of success
We wanted to set up 4 training, thus enabling 40 people to be trained. We finally realized 3 trainings and trained 37 people.
Faced with numerous requests, we have offered at Santélys the opportunity to market these trainings.
For the 2ASD, a second test phase is being programmed, funded by the North Department.
We wanted to meet 10 companies during workshops to prepare the guide. 11 companies are involved in the project to write the guide.
Potential for learning or transfer
- We wanted to boost the home health sector for elderly people
- This project allows professionals in the home health sector to anticipate the changes in this sector and adapt to it.
- These trainings have been very successful with professionals who work with the elderly. Indeed, these trainings meet the new needs of the elderly and allow better support at home.
- Many institutions have also encouraged this initiative. Home care for the elderly and jobs in the home health sector are strong wills expressed by public institutions.
- The certification is essential because it meets to a need of society: proximity services for seniors. It is also part of the law on adaptation of society to aging (to anticipate the loss of autonomy and to prevent isolation of the elderly). This trend is therefore driven by the French state. Almost similar national initiatives are developing in order to fight against loneliness and isolation of the elderly.
