About this good practice
This is a program that develops different activities for each basic educational level with the aim of teaching Heritage as a fundamental part of the Fundación Tarazona Monumental (FTM) strategy. The main objective of this line of action is to make known to the whole of society its cultural legacy, generating a feeling of belonging and identity, and helping to build a more committed society.
It is planned every year in September by the FTM Heritage managers and technicians, volunteer teachers from all educational centers and management of all educational centers, to work on the following topics:
o Proposals for the new course.
o Observations and ideas for improvement.
o Conclusions and planning.
• Preparation of the final document to be sent to all members of the work table and to the directors of the schools. They are in charge of exposing it to the rest of the teaching staff of their respective centers.
• This document reminds them of the history of activities and resources of the FTM so that they can be requested and used at any time.
Design: September - April.
• Design of the activity by FTM personnel. In specific cases in collaboration with other professionals: architects, researchers, restorers, archaeologists ...
• Definition of the objectives of each activity in accordance with the academic curriculum of each course / stage.
From April to June: Material execution of the activities with the students always carried out by FTM personnel

Resources needed
The financial amount allocated to the project, is between 2,000 - 3,000 €/ year, is directed exclusively to material resources, human resources are from the FTM staff, the cost of which is included in the institution's own organization and operation.
Evidence of success
In 10 years, 67 activities have been organized, involving 16,746 children and teenagers from the 6 educational centers of Tarazona. Some evidence of success are:
• Continuity and growth of the project over time.
• Sustainability with little financial resources.
• Attitude of respect and commitment on the part of local society.
• Increased level of involvement and participation of teachers also in the design of their own teaching activities with heritage

Potential for learning or transfer
The learning potential of this project lies in its work methodology between the parties involved. The cooperative work of the educational sector with the management institution is what has allowed to achieve unity, sustainability, growth and continuity over time.
To achieve the transfer of knowledge and to develop the programs it is necessary an entity that coordinates the work of both the teachers and the professionals of heritage and involves the parties, attending to their requirements and needs. From this starting point the interpretation and educational work could begin. It should be considered that the larger the municipality is, the more complicated it is to develop the coordination work and achieve the global participation of all educational centers.
