About this good practice
The house is a collaboration between public authorities private investors and sponsors, VR/AR tech companies, R&D institutions, business clusters, media/film and design companies, and game development companies.
The ecosystem creates new solutions, and help each other excel. It is a place where the brightest heads in gaming and digital realities meet, and by having this co-work space, it becomes a realm for innovation.
The objective is fairly simple: create new digital solutions for the advancement of the society as a whole. Examples of beneficiaries are the tourism industry in generating more sales, and the public school system, as VR can be a powerful pedagogical tool.

Resources needed
The public institutions need to be in front, and drive the process. They also need to be willing to take the main financial risk. One must also have the capacity to think long term, as results will not manifest themselves immediately.
For PARK, the yearly public funding amounts to EUR 145 000

Potential for learning or transfer
This could serve as a model for any region, applied to the tourist industry or other industries. The regional authority needs to take the lead in establishing a group of public authorities willing to accept risk, be strategic, and work with a long term goal in mind. Then, you invite SMEs and start-ups, and possibly also larger clusters to join.
