This is the good practice's implementation level. It can be national, regional or local.
About this good practice
This subsidy is aimed at industrial sector developers, specifically for their manufacturing processes.
Following proved Lean Management methodologies, and from a general vision of productive and auxiliary processes, different improving options would be identified by comparing with other similar companies, sectors and technologies.
Following, processes which will be optimized would be summarized, making a second map in which them will be detailed.
Improving processes possibilities will be evaluated for making a final map that would optimize the chosen process, following eco-innovation criteria.
Necessary investments and expenses for the identified actions will be described. In order to defray them, Administration would provide a maximum amount of 12.000€ through a subsidy.
Working plan:
1. Initial work plan, containing the methodology that will be applied and your schedule.
2. General report of the situation of productive processes and auxiliaries, which will collect information about the environment of the company, the main problematic and the general conclusions and opportunities for improvement detected.
3. Choice of one or several productive processes and detailed map of the chosen one.
4. Optimized process map which includes the improvements that will be implemented.

Potential for learning or transfer
This initiative could be good to be shared due to the impulse it gives to SMEs in terms of innovation. Thanks to this, companies all over our region could afford the optimization of their processes, which may not occur without this help. Recycling of tyres, thermal treatment of steel, agro-machinery constructor or urban and playground equipment are some examples of eco-innovative projects ongoing.
By implementing it, competitiveness of local organizations raises through building a solid, perdurable and sustainable competitive advantage. Even though it hasn’t been transferred to any other region/country yet, it could be a great source of knowledge for those sites where investing on ecoinnovation isn’t a priority for the companies.
The will of the Regional Government (influenced by European Directives) is to promote the circular economy and the awareness of companies in terms of sustainable innovation so it is a measure that could be improved and implemented in the upcoming years.
