About this good practice
La Colaboradora is a physical space of Collective Intelligence where a collaborative community works on its business, social or creative projects with the only payment requirement of exchanging ideas, services and knowledge through a time bank to strengthen the collaborative economy of its members and its environment.
In this space business, social, creative projects can be developed ... It is aimed at entrepreneurs, freelancers, NGOs, activists, creatives, re-entrepreneurs who want to develop a project. La Colaboradora is made up of people with a project to develop.
It is a physical P2P environment where talent is managed and the philosophy of peer to peer exchange networks is combined with the intensity of human contact through the meeting of collaborative communities.
La Colaboradora is a space co-managed between the Zaragoza City Council and the users themselves who are involved in its governance and are empowered by it. Each member works in the development of his project with the commitment to put at the service of the community 4 hours of his time to offer services voluntarily in the governance tasks of the project (dynamization, communication or training) or contributing their knowledge by advising to other members. Its governing bodies are the Management Board and the Assembly.

Potential for learning or transfer
La Colaboradora is a successful example of the sharing economy paradigm, going even beyond entrepreneurships iniciatives, since it promotes relationships between people by making the workplace more effective and more humane.
The main innovation is the fact that, thanks to the time bank, people is encouraged to open-up and share ideas with other initiatives that, otherwise, would never be in their focus. This is how innovation and new ideas arise.
For DIGITOURISM partners, this is a good example of how to foster innovation in Tourism adoption of technology by boosting collaboration among different profiles. For any other project, besides than the aforementioned, this is a very good example of innovation on public use of spaces going beyond of providing just co-working typical services.
Its innovative management model is proved to work more than properly (awarded in Europe, indeed), which it can be used for launching or re-thinking collaboration spaces.
