Dialog: a best practice in public sector innovation
The Dialog project is being showcased on the Observatory of Public Sector Innovation’s (OPSI) case study platform overseen by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) as an international best practice in public sector innovation. The platform collects and promotes examples of innovation from around the world.
Dialog was selected during an open call launched in May 2021. OPSI, together with the UAE Mohammed Bin Rashid Centre for Government Innovation, were looking for examples of innovation in government, more specifically on ways they innovate through cross-border collaboration.
We asked Dialog: How does it felt to be recognised by such a prestigious organisation?
Luca Bassetti, working for the Autonomous Province of Tento, said: “Our office is very happy and proud to know that the Interreg Europe Dialog project is considered a good practice by the OECD. This shows that despite the difficulties and countless obstacles encountered during the pandemic, the efforts and commitment put in place to continue the project activities and social dialogue have paid off and now we can see the first fruit of them”.
This recognition shows that the project’s partnership is working well and that, because of good activity planning, they are achieving their goals. Luca adds that “above all, it shows to the partners and stakeholders involved the level of authority of the work we carry out”.
We can’t wait to see what other achievements Dialog has in store!
What is Dialog working on?
The six partners from the Dialog project are trying to make innovation policies for regional competitiveness more effective by involving local stakeholders in policy decisions.
