Since March 2017, the Interreg Volunteer Youth Initiative (IVY) has been offering the chance for young Europeans aged 18-30 to volunteer in cross-border, transnational or interregional programmes and related projects.

As of this year, the initiative also includes neighbourhood cross-border cooperation programmes as well!

Who else has done it?

We have! Back in October 2018, we hosted our first IVY volunteer. Find out what she loved about the experience.

Our projects BID-REX, REBUS, ZEROCO2, Social Seeds, RaiSE and ClusterFY also signed up. See what advice they have for other projects interested in the initiative.

Interested?

Joining the initiative is easy; everything is available on the Interreg Youth website.

Projects can apply to host volunteers with the approval of their programme by submitting a note outlining their requirements.

The Association of European Border Regions will help you pre-select suitable candidates. They will also prepare the volunteers for their placement with information and a pre-departure training.

Go ahead. Make a difference in some young Europeans’ lives and join the initiative now!
