E-Waste Management Awareness and Strategy Session

On December 21st 2023, the Environmental Research Institute organized an in-person action with stakeholder Zeos to discuss strategies for increasing awareness regarding improved management of e-waste. The focus was on identifying actionable steps to engage at local and regional levels to influence key decision-makers to address the inefficiencies in separate waste collection and to enable reuse practices currently hindered by Slovenian legislation.

During the session, participants discussed various key points, including the need to raise awareness about better e-waste management, the importance of taking practical measures for local and regional involvement, the challenges associated with e-waste collection, the emphasis on prioritizing e-waste for reuse, and the necessity to tackle the issue of uncontrolled e-waste flows.
