Workshop: Information needs for decision-makers

Event
22 - 23 Feb 2017
Clock 09 : 00 - 17 : 00 CET
Location In person | B-5310 Dhuy-Eghezée, Belgium
By Project BID-REX
The broad aims of the workshop are to define the baseline in current regional decision making processes related to biodiversity data and to consider the implementation of the regional policy instrument targeted by each partner.
During this workshop, and informed by a set of questionnaires sent out in advance, participants will assess the current regional biodiversity data processes encountered by each partner, considering the main strengths and weaknesses of current practices. The workshop will also aim to characterise the data requirements for implementing regional policy instruments (e.g. what type of data is needed at each stage of implementation, what are the requirements for data quality and what are the risks incurred in the event of impairment). This workshop will also be used to inform the first chapter of a technical document which will emphasise good practices around biodiversity data to improve environmental decision making.
