About this good practice
The program of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic supports consulting and methodological assistance to agricultural enterprises through sharing experience, transfer of information on the latest knowledge and technologies and their use in precision agriculture, dissemination of information on rural development program measures in practical examples.
The program will focus on soil care, which will support the presentation of practices and technologies to reduce water and wind erosion, excessive soil compaction, practices that contribute to water retention in the landscape or present mitigation and adaptation measures in relation to climate change. These soil-friendly practices will also be demonstrated in the Integrated Plant Protection and Organic Farming systems, with a focus on arable practices.
The aim is to strengthen the system of knowledge transfer in agriculture focused on practical demonstrations and presentation of sustainable land management and protection systems in practice. Support will be given to entities that are bearers of new knowledge, innovation, have innovative and effective solutions in a defined area, whose sowing procedures and technologies meet the standards of good agricultural and environmental condition.
The SZIF (State agricultural intervention fund) after a call will support the activities financially after selecting best projects.Stakeholders and beneficiaries: businesses in agriculture.
Resources needed
Financial resources depends on the number of projects supported (one project maximum 1 000 000,- CZK ,i.e. ca. €41 000,-). The process can implement 3 people for 1 year.
Evidence of success
The practice is considered as good, because it is helpful and directly aimed at ecological agriculture development. There is big interest of businesses, but the results of the practice are not evaluated yet.

The practice may be potentially interesting for any regions who want to support the development of their ecological agriculture.
