Evidence of success
Through the implementation of the project “Digital transformation of the Greek industry– Industry 4.0” the National Strategy of Industry 4.0 will be formulated and the action plan with policy measures will be developed in order to be applied through specific actions within the next programming period 2021-2027 with a special focus on the 3 priority sectors: Smart Manufacturing Technologies, Structural Materials and Circular Economy.
Potential for learning or transfer
Industry 4.0 has recently been introduced to Greek economy and in order to be adapted and assessed efficiently in a structured manner, a national strategy is carefully designed, by taking into account the country’s sectoral characteristics. This means that this strategy and its relevant action plan, can be transferred to other European countries, which are in similar position with Greece and intend to follow the latest industrial trends in order to remain competitive and in pace with the rest sectors.
