About this good practice
- What is the problem addressed and the context which triggered the introduction of the practice?
Modern digital technology manufacturing is increasingly available, but the general public and many creative people have no knowledge of this.
- How does the practice reach its objectives and how it is implemented?
The Fab Lab create a space for meeting and education of different communities from the area robotics, programming languages, design and systems thinking.
In cooperation with universities in Bratislava, we opened a semester courses Digital Fabrication.
In this course, students will learn and work with: 2D / 3D design, 2D cutting, 2D / 3D CNC, 3D printing, electronics and robotics.
They can practically verify their learned knowledge by carrying out their personal projects. We also offer short versions of the courses for the general public and also summer camps for children
- Who are the main stakeholders and beneficiaries of the practice?
Courses are for the general public differentiated for children, young people, students and adults.

Courses are offered to the public thanks to the financial support of the City of Bratislava and the FabLabNet project
Evidence of success
During the period, 132 children and 136 university students attended our courses and implemented 94 interesting projects.
Potential for learning or transfer
The tutorials and procedures of our courses are available on the web and can inspire and help other interested people from other regions as well.
