This is the good practice's implementation level. It can be national, regional or local.
About this good practice
REPLICATE project has implemented the following solutions in the efficiency and sustainable areas:
EV promotion: 2 full electric and 2 hybrid buses have been deployed to get a full electric bus line linking the district with city centre. 4 EV and 6 e-motos have been acquired for municipality fleet to be pioneers of electromobility of the city. Reduction of CO2 emission due to these measures to July 2017 is of 121,6 ton.
ICT/Infrastructures: A Smart Mobility Platform has been deployed providing a holistic vision of city mobility. Additional services are being developed in the platform to add value to the system.
Smart Public Lighting (LED technology and motion detection) has been installed in the neighbourhood. Reduction of CO2 emission due to this measure to July 2017 is of 2.675kg. The and high speed connectivity network and several IP services have been deployed in the district getting a more efficient infrastructure.
More deployments are being developed in the implementation phase of the project (2016-2018). In particular, Building Retrofitting in 156 dwellings will be done and a District Heating system is being installed in the district, being at least 75% renewable energy. An overall Smart City Platform is being developed, including Open Data and Citizen Participation services.
Business Models of the solutions are analyzed so that they can be easily transferred and replicated in other districts and cities.

Resources needed
29,3 millions € budget with European Union funding of 24,9 millions €, distributed among all the partners, the three lighthouse cities (San Sebastián, Florence and Bristol) and Essen and Nilüfer follower cities.
Evidence of success
The project is the materialization of the Smart City planning defined in the European STEEP project of the 7th F where an integrated Smart City Plan and Actuation Plan for the city was built.
STEEP methodology has therefore been tested and validated as a proper methodology to be used to implement a Smart City planning process that leads to specific business plans. Thus, in the frame of the REPLICATE project solutions implemented are tested and validated to be replicated to follower cities.

Potential for learning or transfer
The project is focused on carrying out solutions that are highly replicable in other districts and cities. Solutions implemented are tested and validated and City Business Models for the solutions are defined to have a clear approach for the replication.
