This is the good practice's implementation level. It can be national, regional or local.
About this good practice
SemCo is a family business founded in 1990 and managed by the 2nd generation of the Just family. It is a company that produces traditional, unrefined, cold-pressed oils. They attach great importance to personal contact with their clients and employees. They pay attention to the needs of their clients and they change for them. They also pay attention to strengthening regional, sustainable production and maintaining traditional production processes by carefully selecting raw material suppliers and maintaining an efficient machine park. SemCo itself produces some of the oilseeds it uses to produce the oil. Semco owners have their own flax variety "Śmiłowska" registered in the Central Research Center for Cultivar Testing. The rest of raw material is obtained from local farmers.
In addition, using local agricultural raw materials, they care for the environment and try to guarantee minimum transport routes for their raw materials. Their traditional, unrefined, cold-pressed oils delight with taste, aroma and colour.
In the production of oils, pomace is produced, which is not only used for feeding animals, but also produces flour. Moreover, the production uses energy-saving technologies and the installation of photovoltaic panels is planned in order to decrease the emission of CO2.
