Support program for start-up entrepreneurs in the Ústí Region for 2022
About this good practice
The purpose of financial support is to increase the economic competitiveness of the Ústí Region by supporting start-ups. The aim of the program is to develop the business environment in the Ústí Region by stimulating the establishment of new businesses, increasing the employment of the self-employed and legal entities, and thus creating conditions for new jobs and increasing economic prosperity and social cohesion in the region.
The need for systemic effective support for start-up entrepreneurs in the Ústí Region is based on socio-economic analyzes of the Ústí Region, is based on objectives, priorities and measures defined in the strategic documents of the Ústí Region and corresponds to national and transnational strategies. Low business activity in the region, especially at the level of business of micro-enterprises, is characteristic of the region. In order to support the region's competitiveness and grow its economic prosperity, it is therefore necessary to create an environment conducive to entrepreneurship, creativity, stimulate the region's entrepreneurs to entrepreneurship and support the development of micro-enterprise as a driver of innovation, economic development and flexibility.
The Ústí Region is announcing a call for entrepreneurs in the region and will support their activities financially after selecting suitable projects by the rules of the programme.

Resources needed
Financial resources depends on the number of projects supported (one project maximum 200 000,- CZK ,i.e. ca. €8 200,-). The process can implement 2 people for three quarter of a year.
Evidence of success
The practice is considered as good, because it is helpful and directly aimed at starting entrepreneurs, who can use the saved funds to innovate and strengthen their business. But the results of the practice are not evaluated yet.

The practice may be potentially interesting for any regions who want support the development of their economy by stimulation of the start – ups activities.
