On 3 and 4 July 2019, the Policy Learning Platform is being hosted by the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises in Berlin. The regional authority of Germany’s capital is looking for advice from European peers working in large urban startup ecosystems.
Berlin sees around 40.000 business registrations per year and over 500 startups, making it Germany's leading startup city. The aim of this two-day exchange is to review Berlin’s new strategy that has been put in place in 2018: 'Internationalisation and transnational cooperation with the programme Berlin startup scholarship'.
Together with the thematic experts of the Policy Learning Platform and the selected group of European peers, the Senate Department will be receiving hands-on feedback, good practices and advice for the optimisation of their startup support landscape. The two day peer review will consist of discussions, onsite visits to startup hubs and the joint elaboration of targeted policy recommendations.
