Peer review - Saarland

In the context of an upcoming interregional peer review for the Region Central Denmark on 6-7 November 2024, we are looking for experts with experience in net contracting of public transport services and integrating several forms of mobility alongside traditional bus services in a new public transport offer.

Experts in net contracting of public transport and integrating several forms of mobility in PT wanted!

Mobility patterns in the Central Denmark region vary between cities and rural areas, but overall, more than 70% of adults drive alone by car to work. To attract more users to public transport, the Regional Authorities want to modernise and improve the regional public transport offer

Therefore, the Region of Central Denmark is examining two measures
    • Changing the public transport services tendering framework, from gross contracts to net contracts (also called ‘concession contracts’), where the operator should share responsibility for passenger numbers and ticket revenues in public transport contracts
    • Integrating additional forms of mobility (e.g. bike-sharing, car-sharing, on-demand services..) alongside the traditional public bus routes in an enriched and user-friendly new regional public transport offer
Join us to bring you experience !

If you have expertise in one or more of the above mentioned fields, we invite you to complete our short questionnaire before 30 September. You will be part of a team of peers with complementary profiles to address the region's needs effectively.

The peer review is planned for next 5-6 November, in Aarhus (Denmark).

    Why Participate as a Peer?

You’ll meet the regional policy makers and local stakeholders to further analyse their challenges and elaborate concrete recommendations for policy action jointly with them in a peer-learning format fully moderated by the Policy Learning Platform.

    • Contribute to meaningful change: Your expertise can help implement effective strategies to mitigate healthcare professional shortages.
    • Enhance your skills: Engage in a two-way learning exchange, gaining insights into the practices and policies of other regions.
    • Network with experts: Join a group of talented peers and expand your professional network.

Travel and accommodation costs are covered by Interreg Europe.
