From 17 to 18 September 2024, the Policy Learning Platform is organising a peer review for the Region of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.

The Ministry of Economics, Transport, Agriculture and Viticulture of Rhineland-Palatinate has a clear goal to make cycling as accessible and easy for local citizens as possible, as it sees cycling as crucial in transition to a sustainable mobility. Rheinland-Pfalz has a basic cycling network, however navigating one’s way through this network often requires detailed knowledge and a good system is missing.

The peer review will therefore focus on...

Cooperation with Open Street Map offers the possibility to create a combined data platform with better guidance for cyclists. The Ministry is looking for public bodies who are already exchanging data with OSS to discuss the relevant governance frameworks and learn from their experiences.

This event is by invite-only. The key learnings will be shared afterward.
