2nd Local Stakeholder Seminar of Municipality of Medvode

The event took place on the 31st of March at 10h at the offices of the company Envirodual Ltd. in Ljubljana, Večna pot 2. Gatherd at the event were 6 representatives of the stakeholder Envirodual and the representative of the Municipality of Medvode. Company Envirodual is a leading provider of innovative solutions in green energy transition, decarbonisation, sustainable environmental management, climate change mitigation, and adaptation. They know how to respond quickly to society's and the environment's needs and strive to co-create a sustainable, inclusive, prosperous, and low-carbon future.

The meeting started with a summary of the international meeting in Kilkenny and a summary of the good practices that were presented to further spread the knowledge to companies employes, since its director, Katarina Pogačnik, presented the good practice (Energy climate atlas) at the event. The aim of the meeting was to explore the possibility of cooperation with various stakeholders, with whom the company regularly cooperates intensively. Envirodual counts many municipalities among its clients, for which it prepares energy studies, guidelines, etc., ministries, and companies in the field of energy also cooperate with them intensively.

Later, we talked about various opportunities and challenges in achieving the goals of the Repower project through cooperation with various stakeholders. We also talked about legal and procedural matters that could achieve positive changes in the field of energy self-sufficiency of industry sector.

It was concluded that positive changes can only be achieved with broad cooperation, especially at the national level, not just at the local level. Some procedures, documents, etc. last long term, so it is important to include as wide a range of stakeholders in decision making, preparation of the documents etc. as possible.
