2nd Regional Stakeholder Group Meeting in Aveiro, Portugal
On February 23, the University of Aveiro will host its 2nd Regional Stakeholder Group Meeting in the Centro Region Portugal, within EMBRACER.
The meeting will discuss and put emphasis on community engagement and stakeholder collaboration. The agenda will include relevant speakers to share successful case studies where involving local communities and collaborating with various stakeholders led to the development of tailored intermodal solutions that met the specific needs of underserved regions.
It is expected that the discussions will dig on how to influence policy decisions that facilitate the development of infrastructure usage and update to the diverse needs of communities often overlooked in traditional transport planning. In this context, on-demand and flexible transport systems can play a major role. A strong focus on the financial incentive mechanisms behind the Operational Programme Centro 2021-2027 to promote eco-friendly initiatives, such as reducing carbon footprints and to create a more environmentally conscious, inclusive and resilient transport network will be explored. Good practices identified among the EMBRACER Partnership will be discussed as well.
A round table discussion within the main topic of the meeting will be organised, and key stakeholders are expected to enlighten the EMBRACER Portuguese partners with good practices and initiatives that can bring value to the development of the region.
