4th Local Stakeholder Seminar of ORZ

This seminar brought together 6 participants: Marinka Vovk, representative of the Environmental Research Institute, 4 representatives of the company of public services, including the Head of the sector Franci Voglar as well as one representative of the company 'Opsen' (engineering and operational consulting),  Davorin Korpar. 

To start of the meeting, dr. Marinka Vovk presented key objectives of the Repower Industries project, including reducing emissions, increasing energy efficiency and strengthening local self-sufficiency. Mr. Korpar from Opsen presented the results of the meeting in Milan, where stakeholders from other regions shared their innovative approaches to sustainable energy. The following were emphasized: practical examples of the use of technologies to reduce emissions, introduction of smart systems for monitoring and optimizing energy consumption and the importance of involving the local community in energy projects.

The representative of the public services company Ptuj, Mr. Voglar, presented a project, which includes: reconstruction of the pellet boiler, which enables the efficient use of biomass and contributes to energy independence, installation of a steam boiler, which improved performance and reduced fossil fuel consumption, project effects that include reduction of CO2 emissions and increased energy efficiency, access to a sustainable energy community and a tour of the energy facility of the public services company in Ptuj.

Those present expressed their satisfaction with the exchange of information. Possibilities for further cooperation between local stakeholders and the dissemination of good practices at national level were suggested.
