First stakeholder meeting in Hannut (BE)
In ACROSS project, the City of Hannut and the Smart City Institute (HEC Liège, University of Liège) work on the same policy instrument, hence organising joint local stakeholder group (LSG) meetings.
On the 27th of August 2024, the City of Hannut and Smart City Institute of the University of Liège hosted their first LSG meeting.
The aim of the event was to:
- Introduce the ACROSS project to attending participants
- Get to know the actors, their relations with Hannut and their respective interests in sustainability
- Get insights for the local analysis report and more specifically on the local business culture

The organisers presented the project, emphasizing that key sustainability issues in the territory included agriculture, social cohesion, shops, and crafts. Discussions revealed varying perceptions of CSR, focusing on awareness, ethics, engagement, and sobriety. Conversations on business culture and public-private collaborations in Wallonia highlighted trends but no common understanding. Participants expressed interest in the project's future.
