Kick-off meeting in Prague

The Repower Industries consortium successfully carried out the project’s Kick-off meeting, on the 21st and 22nd of May at the Ministry of Industry and Trade in Prague.

The 1st day focused on the exchange of experience specific to project cooperation within Interreg Europe. The project’s Lead Partner presented the administrative and financial aspects of the project, followed by a brief presentation of communication activities by the Environmental Research Institute.

To end the day, partners attended a study visit at ARBYD, a Czech furniture manufacturer that offers full-scope services in manufacturing, assembly and delivery of furniture. ARBYD combines several types of renewable energy sources to be a self-sufficient company. By using sun rays to generate electricity, the company not only helps to reduce C02 emissions, but also the overall cost of energy.

On the 2nd day, partners and stakeholders participated in an interregional workshop at the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Firstly, the Lead Partner presented the project, state of aid in the Czech Republic and introduced the main activities, deliverables and outputs to be achieved during the project’s lifetime. Afterwards, partners briefly presented their region and policy instrument.
