Peer review meeting in Lisbon

Everyone identified learning needs and identified where crossover learning can be realised. All 8 partners presented best practices and exchanged learning needs. We also had some keynote sessions:

• Sandra Godinho talked about capacity building and citizen engagement in climate action. Tools such as participatory budgeting, a citizens council and other support systems were highlighted.
• Pedro Pinho helped us understand ecological patterns at the ecosystem level in response to environmental changes. Nature based solutions are essential.
• Karel Vanackere explained the importance of stakeholder engagement in climate action and also involving a broad range of experts to reach a holistic and multidisciplinary approach.

Furthermore, we had a chance to visit the urban park Ribeiro Telles and the Fábrica da Água de Beirolas (water reuse plant).
