Rethinking the Logistics Landscape in Portugal

The University of Aveiro will host the 2nd Regional Stakeholders Meeting of the SPOTLOG Project on February 23, 2024.

A dynamic meeting of key stakeholders is expected, bringing together industry leaders, policymakers, and experts in the field of logistics. 
The meeting will include an open discussion on the challenges current logistics framework faces in the Centro Region. Stakeholders can have the opportunity to share insights into issues such as transport fleet, infrastructure gaps, and the need for enhanced connectivity to boost economic growth and facilitate the transition to a more sustainable last-mile delivery.

The importance of public-private collaboration and strategic partnerships for economic growth will also be explored, as well as the integration of eco-friendly practices in logistics operations. Participants will learn the challenges needed to improve and take the next step in the logistics sector: technologies such as IoT-enabled tracking, data analytics, and smart logistics systems can be very important to address the region's unique challenges.

The meeting is expected to engage policy makers, transport operators, logistics operators and serve as a hub for brainstorming ideas that could revolutionise the logistics landscape in Centro Region.
