RIWET EEW-3 in Valencia, Spain, 25th – 26th March 2025

The RIWET Exchange of Experience Workshop-3 (EEW-3) will take place in Valencia, Spain (25th – 26th March 2025). The Regional Partners, Limne and Diputació de València, have developed a stimulating programme at various locations which will focus on:

● Land stewardship.
● Flooding risk management.
● Citizen science applied to river eco-status monitoring.
● Discussions and exchange of Good Practices with stakeholders.

Emerging new challenges

The 2-day packed programme includes a regional partners' projects and approaches to water governance, focusing on the recent DANA (Isolated Depression at High Levels in Spanish), its impacts and the new challenges  emerging in terms of land planning and flooding risk management.

Site visits & practical demonstrations

There will also be site visits  to different sections of rivers affected by the DANA 2024, a demonstration of voluntary river monitoring, river stewardship agreements in action and several good practice examples.
