The call for applications to become a partner of the European Week of Regions and Cities (EURegionsWeek) 2021 is now open. Apply by 26 March!
About EURegionsWeek
The European Week of Regions and Cities is the biggest annual event dedicated to regions, cities, and cohesion policy. It is co-organised by the European Commission (DG REGIO) and the European Committee of the Regions (CoR).
The 2021 edition takes place on 11-14 October. This 19th edition will be mainly digital. Certain high-level sessions may be hosted physically in Brussels (if the health situation allows). Event partners organise their sessions online.
The slogan of 2021 is 'Together for recovery'. The activities focus on four topics:
- Green Transition: for a sustainable and green recovery
- Cohesion: from emergency to resilience
- Digital Transition: for people
- Citizens' engagement: for an inclusive, participative and fair recovery
Call for event partners is open
EURegionsWeek offers plenty of opportunities to actively contribute to the event and the agenda. Call for event partners and session proposals is open until 26 March.
You can propose different types of activities:
- Workshops (90 minutes with up to four speakers and a moderator)
- EU Regions Talks (30 minute pitches by a single speaker)
- Info sessions with experts (60 minutes with up to three speakers and a moderator)
- Participatory labs (90 minutes with up to four speakers and a moderator)
- Exhibition stands with a pitch (exhibition stand and 60 minutes with up to two speakers)

Interreg Europe projects, team up and cooperate!
EURegionsWeek is an excellent opportunity to highlight your project results, promote your good practices, or share inspiration and experiences with peers from other regions. It is also a great chance to explore synergies with other projects working on similar matters. What better way to do so than by organising a joint activity?
Make use of this opportunity, reach out to other projects and promote your results and lessons learned in a joint session! Organising a joint activity in cooperation with others strengthens your proposal and increases the chances of making the tough cut to the final agenda.
If you plan to work together with other projects to develop a joint session proposal, the team of experts of the Policy Learning Platform may be available to assist you. Please contact Elena Ferrario, thematic manager of the Policy Learning Platform, share your session concept or idea, and discuss the possibilities to work together. Please keep also your policy and finance officers from the joint secretariat in the loop.

In 2020, we had a busy EURegionsWeek with several sessions on the agenda, featuring the joint secretariat, the Policy Learning Platform, as well as over 30 Interreg Europe projects.
