The 19th edition of the European Week of Regions and Cities is just around the corner. The biggest annual event dedicated to regions, cities and cohesion policy takes place on 11-14 October 2021.
This year, the event is fully virtual. All activities are just a couple of clicks away, so make your way to the event platform and sort out your personal agenda.
Making choices from the 300+ sessions during the week can be a daunting task. We have some tips to make sure you get your dose of interregional cooperation from the event. Keep reading to find out what we've got in store for you.

Spotlight on projects
There is no shortage of Interreg Europe project presence in this year's event. Luckily most of the sessions will be recorded and available later, because you won't have time to take part in all of the sessions organised by our projects live. Pick the ones that interest you the most and catch up with the rest on demand.
- Next2Met invites to you explore soft digitalisation and how digital transition enables better services and quality of living (12 October, 9:30-11:00). You can also meet Arnault Morisson, a thematic expert of our Policy Learning Platform during the session.
- REPLACE offers to keep you busy by introducing circular benchmark tool (12 October, 9:30-11:00), sharing insights on regional action for circular economy transition (12 October, 12:30-13:00), and presenting a four-step approach to build a regional strategy for the circular transition (13 October, 12:30-13:30).

- e-smartec encourages you to take part in an interactive learning exercise to co-create a participatory strategy for sustainable mobility planning (12 October, 16:30-18:00). Our Platform's thematic expert Katharina Krell will also be in the session.
- CYBER hosts a side event on 'Paving Europe's Digital Future' during the week (13 October, 10:00-16:00). Join to discover regional cybersecurity initiatives and take part in interactive matchmaking activities.
- WaVE shares their insights on citizen engagement for heritage valorisation (13 October, 14:30-16:00) and invites you to join a discussion on moving towards sustainable and inclusive urban and regional futures.
- GRESS takes you through the main drivers of local green transition and inclusive recovery, seeking to unlock the potential of start-ups and SMEs (13 October, 14:30-16:00).
- APPROVE and INTENSIFY will be looking into promoting citizen participation for building support for renewable energy uptake (13 October, 14:30-16:00). A thematic expert from our Platform, Simon Hunkin, will contribute to the session.
- Smart Hy Aware presents cooperation-inspired results on promoting hydrogen-electric mobility by tackling the infrastructural, technological and market uptake barriers (13 October, 16:30-18:00).
- CARPE DIGEM and DEVISE show how small and connected can be beautiful by diving into digital inclusion and innovation through rural and micro hubs (14 October, 9:30-11:00)
- RCIA, UrbanM, RegionArts and Design4Innovation have teamed up to take stock of how creative industries, cooperation, and creativity can power regional recovery (14 October, 11:30-13:00)
