Conclusions to the lead applicant webinars 2016
Between the 12-15 April 2016, we held a series of webinars for lead applicants of second call projects.
We tackled a variety of subjects to assist potential applicants with their proposals.
Designing project methodology - 12 April 2016
This workshop provided information on how to design a successful learning process among partners and stakeholders as well as on how to measure the project performance.
Learning outcomes:
- Understanding the main characteristics of the learning process
- Seeing examples of typical activities for the exchange of experience
- Learning why interregional cooperation projects are designed in two phases
- Getting practical tips on how to ensure a result oriented approach
Building a successful partnership - 13 April 2016
The strongest partnerships are those grounded in a common territorial challenge and driven by partners responsible for regional policymaking. In this workshop, participants learned how to identify the right project partners and the stakeholders needed to make concrete improvements on the ground.
Learning outcomes:
- Understanding the importance of territorial context when building a partnership
- Recognising relevant policy instruments and describing how they can be improved
- Knowing how to select relevant project partners and where to find them
- Identifying who should be part of the stakeholder groups and how they should be engaged
Management, budget and finance - 14 April 2016
This workshop provided concrete guidance on how to build the budget of your project and some useful tips to set up efficient management procedures. It addressed applicants that were already at an advanced stage in the development of their project proposal and were ready to submit their application in the third call of Interreg Europe.
Learning outcomes:
- Understanding the specifics of the five budget lines used in Interreg Europe (staff, administration, travel & accommodation, equipment, external expertise)
- Learning the most important points about the project budget design using practical examples
- Getting practical tips on how to fill in the budget sections of the online application form
- Getting an insight on project management and first level control
Communication strategy - 15 April 2016
Communication is an important tool for projects to succeed in reaching their objectives and improve selected policy instruments. In this workshop we helped applicants develop a communication strategy for their project.
Learning outcomes:
- Understanding the elements of developing a communication strategy
- Learning about the communication principles adopted by the programme
- Getting some insight into planning communication activities
- Getting practical tips on how to design communication strategy for your interregional cooperation project
