Two Interreg Europe projects will be competing for the RegioStars Awards in the 2021 edition.

  • Design4Innovation will be a candidate in the ‘SMART Europe: Increasing the competitiveness of local businesses in a digital world’ category.
  • PERFECT has been nominated in the ‘GREEN Europe: Green and resilient communities in urban and rural setting’ category.

RegioStars Awards give recognition to original and innovative projects with potential to inspire other regions. The objective of the RegioStars Awards is to identify good practices and new approaches in regional development.

A high-level jury chaired by Michel Barnier will select the winners. The public will also have a possibility to choose their favourite in an online vote later this year.

The shortlisted finalists will be announced in September. In October, the finalists will present their projects during the European Week of Regions and Cities (11-14 October). The winners will be revealed in an Awards Ceremony on 2 December in Dubrovnik (Croatia).
