Have your say on the Marine Strategy Framework Directive

The European Commission is reviewing the EU rules that protect the marine environment. This review seeks to ensure that the Europe’s marine environment is governed by a robust framework, that keeps it clean and healthy whilst ensuring its sustainable use.

Part of the review is a public consultation launched on 22 July. It seeks the views of all EU citizens interested in the health, cleanliness and productivity of Europe’s seas. It also seeks opinions of stakeholders who are concerned about the current state of the marine environment, or who perform activities that impact the seas. The consultation closes on 21 October 2021.
