Puglia: Stakeholders discuss the development of green h2
On July 19, 2024, an online meeting focused on the development of green hydrogen in Puglia regional policy and fund management was held, jointly organized by UNLOCK Italian partners Puglia Region - Department of Economic Development, Energy Transition Section and the National Energy Technology District (DiTNE).
Numerous regional and national stakeholders participated in the event, both public and private, including ARTI – Puglia's Regional Agency for Technology and Innovation, Southern Adriatic Sea Port Authority, Confindustria Brindisi, Chamber of Commerce Brindisi-Taranto, CNA Brindisi, ASI Brindisi Consortium, Order of Engineers of Brindisi, A2A spa, Edison, Engie, Novimpianti srl, and Snam spa.
The main goal of the meeting was to discuss the integration of green hydrogen into the management of regional funds, ranging from the Regional ESF-ERDF Program 2021‐2027 to the Regional Environmental Energy Plan (PEAR), from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) to the Regional Hydrogen Strategy (H2Puglia2030), while also highlighting current and future regional initiatives and incentives for the production of green hydrogen.
The meeting fostered constructive dialogue among participants, aimed at providing new perspectives and inputs to identify the most effective tools to support the hydrogen value chain in Puglia. The discussion underscored the need for a coordinated and integrated strategy, crucial for achieving sustainability and innovation goals. Additionally, the meeting emphasized the importance of careful and responsive energy planning to industry changes, focusing on the need to send positive signals that can solidify Puglia's role as a leader in the energy transition.
