1st stakeholder meeting, Lapland, 11 June 2024

The meeting was arranged in a hybrid format so that guests were invited to participate on spot at Lapland UAS campus or to join online through Teams. Eight participants attended the first meeting, half of them representing the stakeholders named for the project in Lapland.

The focus of the first meeting was to familiarize the participants with the DEPART project and discuss the purpose of the regional stakeholder groups. There was also a discussion about the first activities of the project: regional conditions report and the interviews with the aim of creating an overview of the current state of sustainable sports tourism in Lapland. Through the networks of the stakeholders, the project team got several good suggestions for potential interviewees and ideas for the conditions report.
