1st stakeholder meeting, Lithuania, 07 August 2024

On August 7th, a meeting of the DEPART Interreg Europe Project was held at the Šilutė District Municipality, bringing together representatives from the tourism, sports, culture, and business sectors.

The meeting focused on assessing the current state of tourism in the Šilutė, analyzing the region’s strengths and weaknesses, and reviewing relevant statistical data. Participants also discussed ideas and proposed strategies for advancing sports tourism and marketing initiatives.

✒ The main objective of the DEPART is to assist regions and districts in developing strategies that leverage existing and potential competitive advantages. By avoiding fragmentation and utilizing sports tourism resources in innovative ways, the Interreg Europe project aims to contribute to the achievement of sustainable development goals (AGENDA 2030).
