1st study visit in Rovaniemi, October 31
The 2nd day of the DEPART Interreg Europe Project’s meeting in Rovaniemi, began with a thematic seminar on accessibility in Sports tourism Participants (partners and stakeholders) had the chance to attend presentations by Eleni Anoyrkati, MBA, PhD, Tea Tuohioja, Anu Harju-Myllyaho, and Jarno Saapunki, highlighting the fundamentals of accessibility in sports tourism and offered practical insights into the business benefits of investing in accessibility.
Lunch was enjoyed outdoors in beautiful weather, with a guided exploration of accessible outdoor recreation services - a special thank you to Parks & Wildlife Finland for leading the tour!
🎿 To conclude the day, the group visited the first snow track and Santasport, a center for well-being, sports, and education, as well as the Lapland UAS Sports Lab, hosted by stakeholder Niko Niemisalo.
