DEVELOPING LOCAL ORGANIC PRODUCTION IN A SOCIALLY INCLUSIVE RESTAURANT AND SHOP

- “Rete Utile Buono e Bio” is made up of the Italian Consortium for Organic Farming (C.I.BI.), social cooperatives (Cooperativa Nuovi Sentieri e Cooperativa Il Cammino), an Association for the social promotion (APS Eco, Bio, Equo), and a Consortium of organic producers (Puglia Natura Consortium), whose mission is to combine the development of organic production, mostly local, with the sale and delivery of the certified product, all with particular attention to creating training opportunities and social and labour inclusion for persons belonging to the disadvantage areas.” It offers online ordering service and home delivery and point of sale with bio-easy restaurant in Bari, where a costumer can eat, knowing well what he eats
The objectives are reached through:
 - promotion social cooperatives of production and distribution of organic products;
 .raising the awareness of organic agricultural enterprises  .promoting short distribution chain,
 -bring citizens closer to the consumption of organic products and to use online ordering and home delivery
- Stakeholders are around 30 organic operators that sell their organic products in the shop, Italian Consortium for Organic Farming (C.I.BI.), social cooperatives (Cooperativa Nuovi Sentieri e Cooperativa Il Cammino), an Association for the social promotion (APS Eco, Bio, Equo), and a Consortium of organic producers (Puglia Natura Consortium).
