Province of Mantova Holds Second Stakeholder Meeting
The event was held at the Province of Mantova offices, and various local stakeholders, including municipal representatives, local administrators, and providers of shared mobility services, were brought together.
The meeting commenced with opening remarks and an agenda presentation by Mr. Alessandro Gatti of the Territorial Planning Department. Mr. Guido Piccoli, CEO of ALOT srl, presented an overview of the SMAPE project, outlining successful practices from other partners and the significance of cultural change in the adoption of shared mobility solutions.
The participants engaged in discussions about the challenges and opportunities of implementing shared mobility at the local level. The meeting also featured a presentation by E-Vai. This regional shared mobility service provider showcased innovative solutions such as e-mobility fleets and the first E-Vai Mobility hub in Bollate, Province of Milan. They stressed the value of these hubs and how they integrate the existing public trains services and enlarges the Public Transport offer and network by connecting all urban and remote areas of the Region.
The session continued with the active involvement of local administrators and technicians on the definition of next steps and how the Province could assist their local actors. Province representatives asked to the participants to send in concrete proposals on feasible sharing mobility services, infrastructures and their localization in different areas of the province.
The event concluded with a collaborative session where local administrators shared feedback and proposed next steps for the project, including the collaboration with other European Projects in which the municipalities are involved. This meeting was a crucial step in fostering cooperation and advancing shared mobility initiatives within the Province of Mantova.
